You are cordially invited to join us for an evening to honor SCIboston’s Peer Mentors. Celebrate the Power of Peer Mentoring at our fundraising gala featuring a cocktail reception, seated dinner, silent auction, raffles, and awards.

The Power of Peer Mentoring is a night to celebrate connection, community, and comradery within the spinal cord injury community. We will honor the power of lived experience - those who have navigated SCI themselves - offering guidance, understanding, and hope to newly injured individuals and their families.

This special event not only celebrates our mentors, but also raises critical support for SCIboston’s programs that empower individuals with spinal cord injuries and their families, including:

• 1:1 Peer Mentoring- Connecting individuals with SCI and their family members to experienced mentors who offer guidance, hope, and connection.

• Virtual and In Person Support Groups- 36 monthly specialized virtual and in person support groups designed to provide a safe space to foster growth, community, and comradery for individuals with SCI and their loved ones.

• Saturday Education Series- Providing interactive educational programs on topics essential to living a healthy and fulfilling life with SCI.

• Transition Program- Assisting individuals with SCI transition from nursing homes to community living to encourage independence and self advocacy.

• Administration of The Travis Roy Legacy Grant Program- Managing and distributing grants aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with SCI.

• Advocacy- Educating on important advocacy topics related to SCI, including accessibility, disability rights, and policy changes.

These initiatives have been at the heart of SCIboston for over 30 years.
