White Nine Documentary: The Roots of Independent Living in Massachusetts

Join us for a viewing of the award-winning documentary, White Nine, which explores the origins of the independent living movement and disability rights in Massachusetts. This 30-minute film features the stories of three men with spinal cord injuries who met in rehab on the 9th floor of the White Building at MGH in 1968. They became instrumental in creating change for the independence and rights of people with disabilities. Christos Palames (featured in the film), founder of Stavros Center for Independent Living, will join us as a guest presenter and answer participant questions.
