Travel Webinar with Mike Mahoney

In 1980, 22 year old Michael Mahoney broke his neck in a diving accident,  He rehabbed in Boston for a C-6 spinal cord injury. After initially struggling to gain independence,  he soon began driving and entered community college. He is now a married father of four, a practicing Attorney, and an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School. He’s travelled to over 30 countries, and visited 32 major league parks. His webinar will discuss accessibility issues, including obstacles and ADA violations he faced during his travels, as well as his use of the law to remedy these violations. His lawsuits against major airlines and hotel chains have brought changes for wheelchair travelers and on October 23 he’ll discuss the changes he’s seen over the past 39 years of travel.
